DELICIOUSLY WEST YORKSHIRE

Spring is starting to make an appearance and we’re beginning to wake up from sleepy winter. With Easter fast approaching, we’re all starting to think more about opportunities for days out and being more sociable during our lighter evenings.

Our first housing development in Stanley, Wakefield is in the heart of West Yorkshire, so whether you’re looking for lunch out with the kids or a relaxed evening meal, we’ve pulled together a guide to some of our favourite eateries within a twenty minute drive from St Swithins.

The Woodman (on the doorstep)
If you want a classic local pub then look no further than the Woodman, with great pub food being served throughout the day and regular evening entertainment to boot. With a large beer garden and play area, it’s also perfect for sunny weekends as the climate improves!

The Cow Shed (3 miles from St Swithins)
We love this quirky place. Cosy, country interiors are the perfect setting for enjoying local seasonal produce cooked with a modern English style. As if this wasn’t enough, they also offer a fantastic wine selection.

Iris (3 miles from St Swithins)
Iris is a contemporary British restaurant located in the heart of Wakefield city centre. Located close to the Cathedral and the iconic Bull Ring fountains, the menu is as delightful as the location, with fresh ingredients sourced from local suppliers.
